Trying something different – Vibrogym

Some of our run leaders had a taster session at Vibrocise Studios, a local gym and fitness studio which supports fitness and weight loss. They sampled vibrogym technology whereby vertical vibrations are generated by a platform transfer to the body causing a “mini earthquake” feeling. This activates the body’s muscle fibres. The activity is labelled as one with no impact to muscles and joints at low intensity for those with health challenges and high intensity for people who want to work harder. We were keen to see if it could be a complementary activity to running or an alternative for those unable to run with us through injury or health conditions.

As you can see in the photo the team found it really enjoyable, fun and like nothing they had ever done before and would recommend it to others to try.
